I have a thing about showering in lounges. Even if I don't need a shower it is always fun, just because I can. Why not give the little bathroom lady something to do? If no one used the shower and took a poop in the private bathroom then she would be out of a job. I'm helping unemployment. I'm going to shower for the betterment of others.
If you are a traveler, there is no better card than the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card. With benefits like 2x points on dining and travel, no foreign transaction fees, and a 40K point sign up bonus, there is no excuse not to use this card for your everyday spending.
Friends often ask me advice on what credit card to get. There are a few really good cards out there, but one of the best deals right now for Canadians involves the American Express Gold Card.
If you travel between the US and Canada frequently, you should really think about getting a Nexus card. It allows you to skip normal customs lines and become a "trusted traveler" between the two countries. Here's my experience with getting my Nexus card.
When it came time to book a quick trip to Vancouver for a premiere event, I decided to make an impromptu working holiday of it and booked a 4-day/3-night stay in BC.
We love to travel and we love our iPhones. How do we manage to get data on our iPhones without breaking the bank? Here are some of the countries we have visited, and how we got our internet access.
The Three Guys Who Travel were in LA for the Weekend. Alas, Brad's weekend wasn't quite as exciting as it was for the other two, Bree-sighting notwithstanding.
With Brad still at work and Zak and I hungry after our Paramount Tour, I quickly turned to OpenTable to see if I could get a reservation at Pizzeria Mozza... OpenTable, the best thing since the iPhone.
Since Zak had never been to Los Angeles, I wanted to do something touristy. Disneyland is a lot of fun, but it is a lot of effort when you are staying in Santa Monica... And it is a full day adventure. So a friend of my cousin suggested the tour at Paramount Studios and we weren't disappointed (sadly, Brad was stuck in an office all day working so he wasn't able to join us).
In order to make my United Premier Match Challenge, we booked a crazy flight which is about to begin. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, Chicago, and then finally Toronto. We will be flying for a total of about 12 hours. Call us crazy? Maybe.
I'm not mad. I'm not sad. But my mind is constantly running through the contents of my lost baggage. I know, shit happens. And it happened last night to my luggage.
Heading into my third year of Air Canada Elite, I'm now setting my sights on United Premier Gold. But acquiring it next year isn't good enough, I want it sooner.
We all love to use our miles for free travel (taxes and fuel scam-charges notwithstanding). But here's a trick to add on an additional trip without using more miles!
My main reason for crediting flights to Aegean was to get Star Alliance Gold status. But now that I had the points, I might as well try to redeem them!
If you love to travel as much as we do, having some sort of travel status in an airline is a must. Shorter lines to check-in. Waived baggage fees. Lounge access prior to flight. I was able to secure Star Alliance Gold using Aegean Airlines... and I have never even flown on the airline.
